Turn life into an adventure; Picture yourself on Raspberry Island in Black Lake with magnificent views in all directions. This 2.2 acre island is 2 +/- miles south west from the state boat launch on CR 6. The main cabin has 3 bedrooms, a bath with composting toilet and a kitchen with propane stove and refrigerator. There is a 2nd, circa 1920, 4 room cottage with a good roof for future use. Other highlights include a field-stone fire-pit, a storage building, covered front porch and a deck. Cedars and red oaks provide shade and a windbreak. No utilities. Showings by appointment, weather and wind conditions permitting.

Black Lake is truly unique being approximately 19 miles long and 4 miles at its widest point. It has over 60 miles of diverse shoreline in addition to its many islands. Because it has no industry on its shore, the water quality is so good that Black Lake has no fish consumption advisories. Boating enthusiasts can travel up the Indian River to historic Rossie or downstream to the Eel Weir Dam on the Oswegatchie River. Commonly known as A Freshwater Fisherman's Paradise it boasts small mouth bass, large mouth bass, crappie, walleye, northern pike, perch, bluegills, catfish and an occasional Muskie.

Raspberry Island has a rocky shoal with scattered weed growth almost a thousand feet long extending from its north end. This is one of the best small mouth spots on the the lake and it is also a great large mouth bass and crappie fishing area.
