2021 marks Lacy Realty's 21st year, making us the area's longest-established real estate brokerage. Experience and professionalism have kept this brick-and-mortar business going with traditional customer service coupled with modern technologies.
We are the only local business to feature our own aerial photography, taken by our experienced, in-house pilot and photographer. Unlike virtual offices, Lacy Realty continues to use print advertising in addition to its internet and social media marketing.
Not only does Lacy Realty guide you through the buying and selling process but they continue to be available to you after the sale from their full service, handicapped accessible office at 176 W. Main Street in Gouverneur with off-street parking.
We feel that maintaining office hours (Monday-Friday) and being readily available by appointment after 5:00 and weekends creates great client and customer service. We also know that the “team” approach is a major asset because our sellers and buyers always get experienced brokers and professional sales associates, putting many years of combined experience to work helping them fulfill their dreams. Please stop and visit our private office at 176 West Main Street, Gouverneur with off-street parking.

"We could not have asked for better representation than we received from Bill Lacy and Lacy Realty. Over 20 years ago Bill helped us to buy and sell a previous home, and there was no question that when we were ready to buy a new house he would be our first call. When we were ready to progress from online research (lacyrealty.net was a very helpful resource) to looking at houses, we called Bill. Initially we looked at some homes that were listed at Lacy Realty, but were also interested in others listed at other brokerages. Bill had told us he could arrange with other brokers to show us any house we were interested in, and carefully explained the differences between a listing broker and a buyer’s broker. We were more than happy to have Bill’s help no matter the role he might play. In the end we purchased a home that had been listed with another broker, and having Bill available as our buyer’s broker made the whole process a very smooth one. He was always there for any questions we might need answered, contacted the owners’ broker to arrange anything necessary, and advised us in all aspects of making our offer, the details of the sale, and what we needed to do for the closing. He provided any information we might need, even if we hadn’t known to ask for it, and his encyclopedic knowledge of the local real estate market was invaluable. Although we dealt mainly with Bill, Penny Bogardus and Alex MacKinnon were also helpful and supportive. We are extremely pleased with the experience we had with Lacy Realty, and would highly recommend their services to anyone interesting in buying a home in the Gouverneur area." — Dana and Marilyn Putman
"I couldn't have done it without [Bill] and Penny. Living out of state, you were my eyes and ears, advocating on my behalf. You both made a stressful situation easy and effortless on my behalf; I can't thank you enough and I am very happy with the outcome. Given the chance, I will recommend Lacy Realty to anyone buying or selling a property in northern New York." — Meg
"We were very happy with everything you did. When we put it back on market, we will be calling you." — Mark & Sue
